What is a tiered free gift offer?
A tiered free gift offer sets a series of cart spend thresholds, each unlocking its own reward. A shopper who reaches $50 might earn a free candle, and one who reaches $120 earns the candle plus a book. Shoppers can see the next tier as they shop, which encourages them to add another item.
Do shoppers need a discount code?
No. Rewards apply automatically once the cart clears the threshold, so there is no code to hand out, no code to leak, and nothing for the shopper to remember at checkout.
Can one tier give away more than one gift?
Yes. A tier can hold as many gifts as you want. Hand over the whole bundle at once, or offer a shortlist and let the shopper pick one. Each gift arrives in the cart as its own line.
Does the gift have to be free?
No. Every gift can be set to free, a percentage off, or a fixed amount off. Early tiers can stay inexpensive to serve while the top tier does the heavy lifting.
What happens if the gift runs out of stock?
You can rank backup gifts behind each reward. If the first choice sells out, or giving it away would break into the stock you reserved, the next one in the list is offered instead, so the tier keeps working while you restock.
Will it work with my theme?
AOVtools works with your existing cart page and cart drawer. You turn it on from your theme editor, and you can place the reward progress widget exactly where you want it or let it position itself.
